Big Transition Week

To Mom and the Family!

Wow, that’s way cool what Mili did to my room. Looks allot better! Glad to hear everyone is doing relatively well. I hope Grandpa is ok, I'll keep praying for him.

This week was a big transition week. At the start of the new transfer our district split and so did the zone. Some new people some of the same. Biggest change was that we got new elders in our ward. Elder Mortensen and Elder Walker. I'm still here for at least 6 more weeks, but I think I said most of this in my last email.

Because we have new elders in our area, we were able to just take them to the investigators that we were teaching and do a hand off. Now that we have a way smaller teaching pool we will be able to focus on specific investigators and Less Actives more effectively, but we are also working on getting new investigators. While trackting this week we picked up some potential investigators, hope that at least one is legit.

Our weak point is getting people to church. We have a fair number of investigators, but we can’t get them to progress if we can’t get them to go to church. So far we only have really one investigator that is progressing, and that would be Marie Larson. Mike Price is pretty much set to get Baptized this month, but he is not in our half of the ward any more but he is pretty set for the 20th. Hopefully everything goes well there, the new elders in our area are teaching him now. He will get baptized sooner or later though. He is really ready, just some legal stuff with his apartment lease.

Lots of people gave us the slip again this week. Tons of people are giving us the slip when it comes to teaching. But I don’t know, they do have lives of their own, and most have major problems that they are dealing with that take allot of time.

ITS FINALLY FEBRUARY! woot! In two weeks I'll be able to do push ups again. That will defiantly brighten my mood. As well as actually being able to participate in sports on P-days. Soccer is big in this mission, and in the Valley in general. The population is about 80% Latin or something. There is lots of diversity here. Lots of Philippians, Armenian, Korean, and Thai people to. Which means I get to try a bunch of new and interesting food from members that are from all of those places.

Hey Mom, Its good to see that you are having lots of fun with the Xbox . If it gets you sore than any exercise is good for you (as long as its not a bad injured soreness). Cardio (running, Cycling, swimming long distance at a constant speed, jump rope) reduces over all body fat. When we have less body fat this is what helps make any muscle in the body look defined. To add further definition we need to tone and build that muscle. Reducing fat and toning/building the muscle is what gives us the toned look. Look up "Ab ripper X" on youtube for a killer ab workout. There are also probably lots of "Youtube Trainers" that you can learn allot of exercises from. For the Ab Ripper X Start with half the reps ( or even 1/4 of the reps) before starting the whole thing.

It was a good week, ran into some crazy born again anti Mormon people yesterday at Pollo Loco for dinner. They are not filled with the spirit, only hate and malice. It’s really sad because their hearts are so hard we can't do too much for them. Lots of people here are just plain spiritually dead too. There is allot of immorality and filth here. However--we will find those who are prepared and ready to listen.

Thanks a ton for everything
